Like other authors on this site, model railroading has long been a passion of mine. I’ve been building small model railroads on and off for the better part of two decades at this point, although my latest project is an 8×12 sectional layout modeling the Black Hills and Fort Pierre railroad around the year of 1900. In addition to my personal layout, I regularly work on other model railroads for museums, clubs, or friends. When I have the time I also enjoy building unique models or designing new things for my 3D printer. Admittedly, few of my skills are top notch, but that’s why the Dakota Modelers Group is made up of such great modelers! Instead, my job here is to keep the website running and provide editing services. Anyway, I hope you enjoy our website and get some exciting ideas or inspiration for your own model trains!
